Beta: built from the 3CX template documentation and tested against sample calls, not yet verified on a live account. Click Test in 3CX before you rely on it.
3cx call ends → call.missed → slack, termii sms
The problem
Missed calls on your 3CX phone system are lost leads. Nobody sees them until a customer complains, and your other tools never learn about the calls.
What you get
- Every call that ends arrives as call.completed, call.missed or call.unanswered.
- Each event has the caller number, the agent, the queue and the duration.
- A missed call can post to Slack or send the caller an SMS within seconds.
Steps
- 1
Add 3CX as a source
In your project, go to Sources, click Add source, pick A business tool and choose 3CX. Hooksnode makes a token for the source.
- 2
Upload the Hooksnode template to 3CX
On the source page, click Download 3CX template. The file already holds the source URL, the token and your customers page. In the 3CX Admin Console, go to Integrations, then CRM, and upload the file.
- 3
Check the template settings
Check that Webhook URL is the source URL with the token at the end, as below. If it is empty, paste it. Click Test with a phone number. 3CX shows the contact it found, or a contact named Caller and the number.
https://hooksnode.com/p/<source id>?token=<token>
- 4
Turn on call journaling
On the same CRM page, turn on call journaling and save. When a call ends, 3CX sends it to Hooksnode. Open Events in your project to see it.
- 5
Follow up missed calls
Go to Destinations and click Use a recipe. Pick "Missed call alerts" to post to Slack, or "Missed call follow-up SMS" to text the caller through Termii. "Call log in Google Sheets" keeps a row for every call.
Tips
- 3CX sends a call only when its number matches a contact. The template makes every number match, so 3CX shows callers with no other name as Caller and the number.
- If your 3CX already uses a CRM template, check the CRM page first. Uploading this one may replace it.
- The HubSpot and Zoho CRM note actions find contacts by email, and a call has only a phone number. With a Pro project (more than one source) the customer timeline shows calls next to payments and tickets.
- Live call events (ringing, answered) need the 3CX Call Control API. They are not in this beta.
